I am a tea lady and it is interesting to hear feedback from players that I do teas for. I have witnessed some superb teas and I have seen some teas that I would be embarrassed to 'dish up' myself. I don't know if some of the ladies are restricted by a budget - it is hard to do a decent tea for less than £35. But, players must remember that tea in days of old was just sandwiches, cake, and a cup of tea. The team that I do teas for play in a sunday league. At one of our fixtures there wasn't even a tea supplied and we were asked at teatime if we had brought anything with us!! We have also played a team in the same sunday league that charged £30 for a tea which clearly did not cost even half of that - there was not enough food suplied for one team let alone two. I feel that in Division 3, the league that my team play in get good value for money for teas. IF PLAYERS HAVE A PROBLEM WITH TEAS SUPPLIED - SAY SOMETHING!! Change will not happen if suggestions or comments are not made - contrary to popular belief WE ARE NOT MIND READERS!! :-)

i know us at theydon wont win best teas!!! we have a tea lady who does alot at the club so we dont moan too loud ( well we do, just when she not in earshot!!) I would say the teas at takely (scones with strawberries n proper cream!!!) have been the best but everywhere we have played the teas have been far better than in previous leagues.

Complain about teas ???!!! Moan about umpires, state of the pitch, overseas players etc etc but never, ever criticise the teas, if you know what's good for you !
Some tea ladies (and gents) have memories like elephants ...
Not so easy to do in a League, but years ago Cloghams dropped a friendly fixture after being served tap water and salad for tea. We took the hint !

I assist with the Saturday teas at our club, and our budget is only £25 and we lay on a fantastic spread. Egg, Tuna, Ham, Cheese Sandwiches (4 loaves bread), Sausage Rolls, Pizza, Salad, Chicken Nuggets, crisps and plenty of cakes (to keep the boys energy up) - even homemade cakes - now there's a treat!! And of course, plenty of tea and squash. All this comes to under £25. And there's always enough, even for the away team's supporters!! But not alot of waste. Our Sunday teas are done by another lady and she lays on a beautiful tea too!

There have been some away matches we've been to and the whole team just
think :-O !!

So if you're not happy please let us ladies know so we can try new things that are to your liking.

Or if there are special requirements let the home team know a couple of days prior to the game so this be can actioned.

I am a tea lady and I think and hope we provide a very good standard of 'tea'at our club, but I have to say that the tea provided by some clubs do leave a lot to be desired.
As mentioned before we are not mind readers and we hope we do our best,on a limited budget,
BUT if you have a complaint tell us, you never know we may be able to do something different
(sorry lads, can't do lobster thermidore but if you give us more money who know's)
Come on then, what make's a good cricket tea?
We wait for your comments with interest!!
