I think that White Roding broke a few club records in their win against Thorley a few weeks back.

Don't wory though you didn't break any of ours at Thorley. 8-) ;-) :-D

At South Loughton, we have complete team and player records going back to 1947. Here are some of them, taken from our website:

Highest totals:
For: 351-3 v Woodford Wells (2004: Herts & Essex League)
Against: 367 v Ardleigh Green (1998: Bertie Joel Cup)
Batting First and Losing: 269-9 v Stansted (1999: Herts & Essex League)

Lowest totals:
For: 11 v Southend Municipal College (1973)
Against: 9 v Old Buckwellians (1953), Baldwyns (1958), Cossors (1968)

Club record partnerships:
1st: 263* T Nunes & M Stokes v Chelmsford (2004)
2nd: 220 H Nothnagel & T Henman v Ardeley Walkern (2004)
3rd: 196* M Nel & H Nothnagel v Chigwell (2003)
4th: 130 J Davies & D Karchargis v Octopus (1985)
5th: 136 J Pieters & J De Wet v Stansted Hall (2004)
=6th: 105* H Underwood & J De Boos v Tate & Lyle (1953), B Harding & W Stevenson v Epping Foresters (1987)
7th: 106 R Glendinning & A Shields v Eastwood (1987)
8th: 78* C Greenhill & T Hylton v Theydon Bois (1973)
9th: 75 H Debnam & A Woods v Romford Brewery (1958)
=10th: 62* R Davey & P Jones v Lloyd Sports (1971), C Greenhill & N Blundy v Audley End (1983)

Most runs in a season: D Karchargis 1,657 (1989)
Most runs in a career: P Coe 14,578 (1969-2000)

Most wickets in a season: R Elliott 136 (1952)
Most wickets in a career: P Jones 1,715 (1967-present)

The old bowling stats are remarkable. Ron Elliott (1947-57) took 942 wickets at an average of just 5.79 while Bill Nuttall (1947-60) took 659 at an average of 8.11. This is a reflection of the poor pitches played on in the post-war years, when 50 could often be a comfortable winning score.

Many of our batting records have been broken in the past three or four years, which I'm sure is the same at other clubs, but most of the bowling ones will probably remain unchallenged.

Our highest individual score is 179* by H Nothnagel set this season in the game v Ardeley Walkern. And the M Stokes figuring in the 263* first-wicket partnership v Chelmsford is aged 15: he's scored five centuries in senior adult cricket already...

Highest total 384-2
highest partnership for any wicket 273

I'm sure there are some others somewhere, but don;t have them to hand.

I came within 4 of setting the Newport Club record of 56 for the last wicket on Saturday before being bowled by a straight one (fancy that!) with 9 needed from 4 balls. :-(
