View Full Version : It is with sad regret....
Very sad news indeed. I knew Nigel of old, even before his Potter Street days. I'm sure I speak on behalf of everyone on the committee and from all at Thorley when we offer our sad condolences to his family and friends.
When you have any further news about events or matches in his memory please post them here I'm sure many willing to support.

This is desperately sad news. Our 2nd XI games against Potter Street were the highlights of last season. Nigel played it hard on the pitch but would always stay for a beer and a chat. I greatly enjoyed his company. Please keep us informed about funeral arrangements and memorial events.

It is with sad regret that Potter Street Cricket Club have to announce the sad loss of their Captain and top all rounder, Nigel Trotter, who passed away suddenly on Saturday 5th March. He will be greatly missed by all of his team mates.
Cricket was in Nigel's blood and if he wasn't talking about cricket he was thinking about it.
A memorial game will be organised during the Summer months, if anyone would like to play in this please let us know.
For all those that had the pleasure to know and play alongside or against Nigel, we shall post funeral arrangements for those who would like to attend.
