I'll pass this concern on to the committee, but I suspect that all equipment must conform to the rules of cricket unless specific mention is made in the League rules, which in this case it is not. I'll post a definitive reply when I have an answer.

It seems that the ruling is that ALL equipment used in league matches must comply to the Laws of Cricket. So if the laws exclude such gloves then they cannot be used. I will ask that a specific ruling be added to the League rules at the next meeting.

with the new ECB rule 40.2 now in place what happens if at the start of a league game the wicketkeeper is wearing gloves that are not in line with rule 40.2 does the captain of the opposeing side ask the keeper to remove his gloves and put ones on that are allowed but he has not got the allowed type what happens.Could you please answer this.
