View Full Version : EGM date set for Monday 29th November 2010
The league has called an extraordinary General Meeting to be held at Bishops Stortford Football club at 8pm on the 29th of November 2010.
Clubs are not obliged to attend but the issues being discussed and voted on will effect all clubs so the committee urge all clubs to attend if possible.
The issues to be discussed concern the addition of new clubs to the league following the withdrawal of three clubs at the end of last season and the structuring of promotion and relegation as a result.. Action was not possible on these issues at the recent AGM as the committtee had no time to asses new member clubs and to exam the implications for the promotion and relegation.

When will a summary of the options be distributed/posted here? We had a committee meeting last night and would have liked to discuss them. The meeting is now only 13 days away...

The EGM was over two weeks ago, why no update on its conclusions on the web site?
If the league wants to be transparent to all its members especially in the close season when clubs, & their members do not meet so often, the information should be put on the leagues web site.
Also why keep old threads on when some are over 6 months old?
Well run organisations have up to date sites, so has the league got a problem?
I am not very web savvy but surely there should be some out there who can keep everyone up to date.

The EGM has been and gone. If you were present you will remember it being announced that the final league divisions will be released once clubs have had an opportunity to negotiate a specific division based on their desire and those of other mutually agreable ckubs following the proposed restructure. These negotiations remain ongoing in several cases. Once the new division make up has been finalised and I have a copy I will post them here.
As to your other comments. Perhaps you would like to contribute some positive news yourself that can be posted on the website as it is user driven instead of critcising the hard work of committee members that work tirelessly to run "your" league on a volunteer basis. We still have vacancies on the committee and would welcome your signing up. Maybe then you could ensure the league is run as you think it should be.

Why wasn't this information put onto the web site, I wasn't present at the EGM but am interested on what was going on as I am sure are many other club members.
As for volunteering, I spent 34 years on my Parish council and 24 years as Chairman, also I have been on the committee at L Hallingbury CC for over 25 years and now an a full time carer for my wife. My days of volunteering are over.
Perhaps the committee should should have thought about this problem when the league was expanded. The organistion has become too large and these days it is more difficult to find willing people to give up their time.
My point about the web site not being cleared of old items is stilll valid.

Many thanks for your thoughts, it's wonderful that all the hours that the many people on the committee, myself included, put in are just taken for granted..... by some anyway. :(
I will try to get an update out as soon as possible.
In the meantime.....At the AGM all clubs were handed forms due to be return by 30th November, I'm still waiting for Little Hallingbury's, perhaps you could speak to the Chairman. :)
