High Beach Cricket Club require a fixture for this Saturday 19th May,
Our league fixture has been cancelled, we would prefer a home fixture for a 1.30 pm start.
We play in division 4 of The HECL and our strength would be approx weak medium,
but like most sides strength is always dependant on who's available.
We would be a mix of players, some younger and some older.
We can provide a good tea, and our cheap bar afterwards.
All you would need to do is provide a ball.

We have already taken the decision that all next weekend's home fixtures must be cancelled as the ground will definitely not be ready and the pavilion will not have dried out. Even if the water recedes today and there is no further rain (which is not what the forecast says), there will be a thick layer of silt to clean up.

We are in discussions with the league and opponents about our 2nd XI home game next Saturday but, to keep all our options open, is any club not using their ground and willing to let us use it should the need arise?

However, we obtained a dispensation from Thames Water on health and safety grounds (I used the argument that we host disability cricket and have a large junior programme) providing we are not wasteful. I would suggest other clubs do try writing to their water authority, their guidance on sports grounds may have changed since the initial ban was imposed.

The Captain's Meeting and Spring AGM will take place
at Bishop Stortford Football Club,
Captains Meeting 7.30pm, Main Meeting 8.00pm
Monday 2nd April 2012.
All clubs are reminded that for the Captains meeting either the club captain or the chairman must be in attendance, and at least one representative from the club must be present at the Spring meeting as per rule 18, failing to do so will incur a fine of ?50.00

Any club wishing to raise a matter at the Spring AGM please submit your request by e mail to the Secretary before 6.00pm Friday 30th March for inclusion.
